Download the recipe book and maybe you'll find something. If it's short term, I don't see how you'd go wrong w/boiled chicken and canned tuna...maybe mix some peas or grn beans in it.

  2. DO NOT feed your cat canned tuna! It can make it deficient in vitamin B which can be really bad for her health long term. Don't do it! I also would not recommend switching your cat to something home made unless you can make sure you put every nutrient your cat needs in it. Many commercialized cat foods are balanced and you can deprive your cat of its health if you only feed it "ham, bologna (WHAT!?), tuna, etc.) If you are going to feed your cat something homemade I suggest pieces of chicken boiled plain in water.

  3. Why is this?  If you don't have the means to feed your cat a food meant for it then you shouldn't have a cat.  Contrary to what some are suggesting feeding it meat is NOT giving it a wellrounded diet.  There's certain supplements and nutrients added in to healthy cat foods (like Taurine) that simple meat does not given an animal.  If you're temporarily strapped for cash then contact your local shelter and find out if they can give you a small supply of proper food for your cat or if they can refer you to someone who can.

Here's a link to Easy Homemade Diets for cats but putting these items together is NOT going to be cheaper than buying commercially prepared cat food - http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?ac...

  4. Do a search for home-cooked cat food recipes.  I know there are cat owners who do make their cats' food, especially if they're on a special diet.

Do not feed hot dogs, bologna, cheese, or spam.

  5. Get a small bag of Eagle Pack cat food. Yes, it's a little on the expensive side, but over a two- week period, it should be just fine. It gives all the nutrients that cats and kittens need. I swear by it, and I have 4 cats.

  6. well u said INEXPENSIVE lol...so i wud feed my kitten

ham, turkey, tuna,or fish cats love those..but the little cans of cat food are inexpensive if u dont feel the need to buy all that. i have a budget also for my kitten i just bought and she eats a lot lol..so im in the same position as u having to buy all her food and toys. like the others said GOOGLE it..r askjeeves...thats what i would do.type in cheap recipe's for cats/kittens or something along the line.
