I've had him almost 6 months & I never know what to give him as a snack that isn't mouse food. He's just a little white, "feeder" mouse & I rescued him. :) I think I'm going to give him some carrots & wheat bread. Is this good for him?? <3~

  1. as someone said above, my mice too used to LOVE sunflower seeds. I also one VERY rare occasions gave them a few bits of cat dry food, they loved them too but i assume are fatty or something so it's a treat and a rare treat!

  2. Bird seeds! They love bird seeds :)

  3. bread, crackers

  4. living in the country we get mice quite often....they love..bread,serial,grain,nuts,biscuits both sweat and savoury, seeds,in fact almost anything you eat yourself but beware!potato, onion is not good and chocolate especially easter egg choc will kill them!

  5. nuts

  6. you can give him nuts/seeds and for treats a lot of pet store sell treats. you can also give him some celery carrots lettuce..........

  7. well those are okay

but i'm going for little nuts

    like sunflower seeds

    mice love them

    especially mine!

  8. no cheese, no yogurt and no fruit, no matter what anyone tells you. I was a mouse breed for years so I know what i'm talking about. chocolate IS ok but only as a rare treat. old off on the vegetables as they tend to cause diahrhoea (as does the fruit), though cooked peas and corn are ok in moderation. They also love sprouts but too many will cause diarhoea so give only in moderation here too.

Best foods are: sunflower seeds, nuts (observe for possible allergic reactions which are quite common), cereals and grains (oats, corn flakes, cooked rice, rice bubbles, bran, etc), cooked egg, cooked meat, dry dog and cat food is ok but not too often as they are fatty, drops of cooking oil on their equipment (this is great on squeaky wheels).

  9. When i use to have mice i use to give them a weet bix or even a couple of dried dog pellets as a treat and they loved them

  10. Mouse eat something that looks like bits of crunchy thing. Don't know why you likely want that rat to be a rabbit or human in diets, that should'nt. I prefer going to find a nearest petshop, where you can ask someone there for help.

  11. Mice are similar to hamsters with their metabolism. They can eat just about any fruit except oranges. For example, a grape cut in half, a piece of an apple, a slice of a banana, a piece of pear. Etc. Wheat bread should be fine with him. Try also giving him a little spoonful of yogurt every once in a while, it is good for all rodents. Gives them their supply of dairy.

    Hope this helped!
