My daughters birthday is coming up.. we're having a big party at home for her but I want to get some ideas of what we could get her for her first birthday? Something that will really be a lot of fun for her, and something for INSIDE because it gets too hot outside for her!!

  1. Depends on what she's interested in....one of my 1year old foster children loved dressing up. So we got random hats, chunky necklaces, wings, sunglasses, bags etc....she had fun feeling them and being dressed in them :)

But you can get things like a ball pool-simple small blow up ones where you empty plastic balls into-suitable for indoors as its small but can go outside when its suitable weather.

-Those mats which children use water to 'paint'-when the brush goes off the mat it doesnt mark make anymore. It leaves marks on the mat though so is great for hand-eye coordination, creativity etc. (try woolworthes.co.uk or elc.co.uk)

-Try looking on educational sites such as www.elc.co.uk and www.ttsgroup.co.uk as they will often split gifts into age groups so you can have a look.

-Musical Instruments-you can get bells that are velcro so wrap around wrist, rattles, plastic tambourine etc. Lots for her to explore!

  2. get her a lot of colorful learning games coloring books blocks etc. my daughter is now 3 and know to count her ABC's and colors

  3. Baby dolls are always good. Other ideas though could be some crafty things you could do together like finger paints or crayons, or you could get her a couple of books she could look at alone or read with you.

  4. we got Fisher-Price Baby's First Blocks for my friends daughter and she loves them. http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d...

some other things she might enjoy are

    CrayolaTa Doodless Scribble & Sing

Radio Flyer Little Miss Flyer Ready to Ride Folding Trike

  6. Whatever you get, she'll have more fun playing with the box it came in...

  7. Get her a car

  8. get some stuff to make crafts with for little kids.. like finger paints... get her one of those mr potatoe heads...or blocks with the alphabet on them.a cute doll...get her a sit n spin

  9. a dolls house,  one suitable for her age.

  10. Any kids toy that plays music - I do daycare and EVERY single kid that age LOVES to dance and play with musical toys :)  Plus it will be a toy that won't get on your nerves!

  11. Some kid song CD's. Cheap and entertaining.
