My sister is doing a scrapbook so that's out (and a photo collage is a bit too similar so not that either). My mum is getting him a build your own bat detector so not that either (!)

He doesn't wear ties or read books, he likes messing with cars and electronics. He likes music and films/tv, but tends to download music online and watch films on tv rather than buy dvds. He likes going on camping trips in his camper van. He likes socks.

I was thinking about making a mix tape (or CD rather), perhaps of fifty songs maybe one from each year he was born, or from when he was young. But that will be free/cheap, and my budget is up to about £40-£50. Any ideas?

  1. How about a commemorative pocket Knife that has his name on it sold by some knife companies like Case Knifes.

  2. A bottle of Whiskey always works, look for Wild Turkey or Glenmorangie

  3. You should always add a big goofy card that has a big 50 on it.

The mix cd is a great idea.

Hm does he go fishing? If he camps he should fish..you can a buy him some accessories for camping...flashlight/boots/camping stuff?

Guys always like new socks, boxers, belts(if he likes them), or just plain razors...Razors are always the first thing my bro needs

Well those are some ideas, hope it helps.

  6. the best you can give your father is that your kind words ...love and affection.....nothing else works...but in order to tell him howmuch you like your dad ....you need to give him something he likes the most.......ask him when leisure what he likes the most in this world .... any goods ...try to gain the answer....and give him something resembling it...if your dad has any habits which harm his health.... give him any article that would remind him that its not good..... a  musical lighter , ash tray for smoking .....a fancy glass if he has a habbit of drinking....bla bla ....like that .....some thing which would tell him how much u care for him.... belive me ......it would work

  11. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR DAD...

Anyway for me Hug and Kisses is the best give u can give...

Rule of life is Love God above all

then and second position cant replace anybody except to your parents...its natural to us to love our parents of course...its not only the way u vocally told them but show them affection always..hug them kiss and u tell them how much u love them hahaha dont shy..be proud and say i love u so much dad..say thank u for everything for uncountable love and sacrifice he deed for you...time is running we dont know evrything in happen maybe times come u cant say those word to them...so make your dad happy..in any small way...

    SMILE

  12. It's not about what you pay, it's about what you do.

Give him a hug, and remind him that you love him. Do you really think a man needs anything more than a simple and meaningful affirmation that he means something to you?

All that remains after that is what he wants, and in comparison that means hardly anything at all.

Get the old coot some decent, heavyweight fisherman's socks for when he's pratting around outside in cold weather. Get a decent glass  or glass paperweight engraved with a message just from you - "To Dad, love from..." will do. Every time he looks at it he will pick it up and think of you and his heart will warm. And he will know it was all worthwhile in the end, because *that* is what make the difference in life.

When a bloke gets to his ripe old age it's the little things that mean the most.

Ant believe me - warm feet on a cold day mean a lot! LOL

  13. A big chocolate model from Thorntons :D can't go wrong as long as he likes chocolate!
