I am a teacher who has had a trainee teacher in my classroom for the last few months. She leaves next Wednesday and I want to get her a present from the kids as a thank you and a good luck. She is early 20s and I want to get her something that she can possibly use in her future teaching years. Around about £15ish.

Thank you!!!!

  1. When I was a student teacher, my cooperative teacher asked the students to all bring in a supply they thought I might be able to use in my own classroom (markers, tape, paper clips, etc.).  Then she put it in a tote bag with all the kids hand prints on it.  It was one of the nicest presents I ever received, five years later I still use the tote bag!

  2. I the past I've got some self inking rubber stamps that were used to mark work. You know the kind...excellent work, check your spelling etc. Alternately, you can get stickers made up with the teachers name Mr/s X 's targets for....... are....

Available on ebay etc. Don't cost much, quick to get by post.

  3. I don't know what her tastes are, but a dictionary is always useful.

Why limit yourself to something she could use in her teaching?  Is that her whole identity or yours maybe?

I would have been upset to get that kind of gift when I was a student.

I think that something that she could look at and remember you and your students is probably better.  My first home room gave me book ends a long time ago and I cannot look at them without remembering that group of students.

  4. a gift certificate to a book store would be nice
