She has a pulled muscle and the medicine the Vet gave me is gone I was hoping I would not have to take here back. She was getting better but this morning she jumped on the couch again and pulled it. I must not have been 100% yet.

  1. my pit has arthritits.  i didn't have the money for a full script at the time so i asked if aspirin was ok.  he told me 1 bufferin twice a day.  it helped her through the worst of it.

  2. You need to get her back to the vet for an examination and more medicine if needed. She may have caused more damage.

  3. baby aspirin

  4. stop with the medicine and keep her activitys in control until she is better.Pain pills only cover pain they do not heal the injury.Tilks Mom

  5. Phone the vet and ask for a refill.  If they think there is a chance there's a larger problem, they may want you to come back in so they can check it out futher, but if they were sure that there is nothing wrong beyond a pulled muscle, they should happily give you a refill on the medication without bringing the dog back in.  I would not give your dog any 'people' medication, it can be harmful, several types are very much toxic, and others can be harmful in the wrong dose, don't trust strangers' dosage advice, please, just phone your vet.

Otherwise your vet has some very good quality products. They are a little expensive but they work and usually if you buy them on a consant basis some vets will give you a discount.

  7. I was told to give my dog Bufferin.

  8. There is nothing you can give her at home that will be safe.  Encourage her to lay still as much as you can and stay off the leg..  you can even use some ice to help with any swelling.
