I have an orphan lamb. I milked the mother when the baby was born but could only get about 10-20ml of colostrum. I milked her again that afternoon getting about 10ml again. The next day the mother wasnt producing it anymore so i go another small amount for another mother who had just lambed. Altogether my lamb has probably had less than 50ml of it. Will this be enough or should I put an egg in the milk replacer? Some recipies say egg and cod liver oil. I don't have any of the oil so will just egg be ok?

  1. At least he got some colostrum. Get a milk replacement formula immediately, and keep the lamp well fed and warm.
