I bought really cute "sheet type" fabric for my daughter because it had disney fairies on it (its my 16 month old daughters "thing"). We bought 1 1/2 yards. My only problem is, I HAVE NO CLUE what to do with it? any ideas? (i dont want to make sheets (lol), valances/curtains etc..) I want to either do something for her to wear, or for her dolls)

  1. a "dragaroundquilt" is easy to do. lay the fairy fabric face up, lay the liner fabric face down, stitch around it leaving a 6 inch space in one of the sides. Cut a piece of batting to fit in it lay this on and turn the thing right side out. Slip stitch the hole closed. Tie little ribbons at 6 inch spacings all over it. Do one for the doll too. Never forget the doll.

Doll and girl can have a simple pinafore too, gathered skirt with waist band and crossed over the shoulders buttoned on to the waist band. Waist band should have a little elastic in it to make it fit longer.

  2. You can make her an apron, a doll case, book covers...

  3. make her a little princess dress
