  1. Scrapbook and a list of your inside jokes and memories

Im really sorry about your dad

  2. I agree. Make something that can be displayed too.  Something you can put on your shelf.

  3. a colloge of all the pictures and memories you had together and put it in a  frame and hang it in your room

im so sorry for the lost

  4.       I made a memorial to my dad, this is the way it started, then to his service time during WW2. I put up a large flag pole and a brick walkway around it with a brick path, a sitting bench. I raise and lower the flag each day according to the radio announcment. I moge poged each and every member of the family that served in all the services, in the bricks along with their names and dates of services and where. It's lite each and every night, people, including the police department, use it as a central dispatch center. I get comments all the time. I made a large civil war cannon placed next to it along with a WW2 soldier  standing next to it. He's only two feet tall.

I know it's quite an effort but it's my effort. It took me three years and, I don't think I'm done.

  5. What kinds of things was he interested in? Think of something along those lines. Did he like hunting, fishing, swimming, running, playing an instrument, or anything? Make something that has to do with what he enjoyed. A scrapbook is a good idea. Also, you can get photos enlarged to poster size, maybe you could do that with a picture of you and your dad? That way you'd see him everyday when you wake up, which would be nice. I'm so sorry about your loss. Me and my Dad are very close and I can't imagine losing him, I'm sure it was tough for you. But remember, you don't really need any of those things to remember your Dad. When you love somebody they will never leave your heart, you will always have a piece of him with you and he'll always be watching over you. Good luck with everything, and once again I am very sorry.

  6. How about planting a tree in your yard as  a memorial to him? That is something enduring that eventually even your descendants will be able to look at and think of him.

  7. you could have a piece of jewelry engraved? plant a tree? make a scrap book?

  8. When my grandmother died I (a woodworker) and my wife (a crafty person) made shadow boxes for my father and his sisters.  We put some pictures, mementos, etc. in them.  They turned out nice.  Sorry for your loss.

  9. a big HUGE scrapbook with thousands of his pictures and favorite things, dedicate a room to him.
