What can I make with eye of round beef steak?

  1. my wife calls it Hawaii toast. take a 3/4 to 1 in thick piece and cook it as you would a regular steak.( season with salt and pepper,heat your pan with oil in it to med/med hi and place steak in cooking on one side for 4 min and on the other for 3) before you do that though make a mushroom cream gravy.use the one in the packet or what i like to do, make a little rue with flour and butter then add 2 cups of heavy cream and one cup of fresh sliced mushrooms.cook that until it thickens a bit then add half to a whole can of cream of mushroom soup. toast a peice of texas toast or even french bread then place it on cookie sheet,put the just cooked steak onto the bread then a slice of pineapple covered with cheese. place that into a pre heated 350 degree oven for 5 to ten min or until the cheese is melted good. take it out of the oven and useing a spatula ,put the meat in the center of a plate,put a pile of french fries next to it and then pour some of the mushroom gravy over cheese and meat and fries. it is simply delicouse. there is a resturant in Berlin, Germany, named the La Rocca that makes the best but this version is pretty darn good.


  2. you can grill it cut it up and make stew beef, or beef kabobs, fry it, bake it, or broil it and try some mash potatoes and corn, or sumtter the steak in gravey and onion and make some white rice vegetables, or make mac and cheese with vegetables,or flavored rice with vegetables as side dishes..

  4. TANGY EYE ROUND STEAK  

    2 (8 oz.) beef eye round steaks, cut 1 inch thick

    Juice of 1 lime

    1/2 tsp. garlic powder

    1/2 tsp. ground coriander

    1/2 tsp. cumin

    1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper

    Combine lime juice, garlic, coriander, cumin, and pepper. Trim all visible fat and place beef eye round steaks in plastic bag. Pour marinade over steaks; turning to coat. Tie the bag. Refrigerate 30 minutes, turning once. Remove steaks from marinade. Heat medium size heavy frying pan over medium heat. Add steaks and pan broil, 4-5 minutes each side.

  6. There are no rules to cooking.  You can roast it and slice it thin and serve it with gravy or your can make a pot roast out of it.  If you are asking what you can serve with it, you can serve roasted potatoes, or mashed, corn, salad and biscuits.  Hope this helped.  

  7. Slice it thin against the grain and make a stir fry with veggies and serve over rice.

Beat the meat with a mallet and stab it with a fork.  This will help tenderize it and the fork holes will hold in marinade.  Put the steaks in a plastic bag with the marinade of your choice - Italian dressing, teriyaki, lime juice with garlic and cliantro, whatever.  Chill in the fridge for 45 minutes or overnight - whatever's good for you.

    Then broil it, grill it, pan fry it, slice it up and stir fry it, braise it in some beer, whatever.  It'll be good!  Serve with potatoes or rice and a veggie.
