Question:

What can I make with my old pair of jeans?

I've got a pair of jeans that I absolutely love and don't want to just throw them out. There is a hole in the crotch(or almost it's unrepairable anyways), both knees, and the corners of the back pockets. I was thinking about making a purse but would like more ideas. Any links would be great. Thanks!

  1. I've seen purses, and skirts on www.craftster.org , and I've even seen an apron made from old jeans, but my favorite has been the quilt made from old jeans. The various squares still had the pockets and the zipper and the belt loops intact and seams going every which way within each square. You could make a smaller quilt from one pair, I'm guessing, especially if you intersperse the squares with a complimentary fabric. So good looking!

  3. You can find a lot of ideas here, plus instructions: http://www.jeanshub.com/JeansProjects.as...

  4. Wear 'em. I think it's stylish. Cut enough material from somewhere on the jeans to patch the inside of the crotch.

  5. I've seen cute purses made out of jeans or you could cut the jeans into squares for patchwork for a quilt or strips for a rag rug.

  6. a bag, a hat, a water bottle holder, a belt ( with a cool belt buckle would b sweet)

  7. make it a purse they are so cute.

  8. When the crotch went in one if my old pairs of pants, I made them into a skirt.
