  1. I think fried dough and a beer is just about all.  Good luck.

  2. 1 1/2 cups flour

2 eggs ///// you can use 2 tablespoons of cornstarch beaten with 2 tablespoons of water. This, too, works much like vegetarian egg replacer

1 cup milk / just use water. Do not use beer

    3 tablespoons sugar

    1/4 teaspoon mace (optional)

    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

    1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda

    1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

    1 1/4 teaspoons salt

Combine all ingredients. Drop mixture through a large funnel into hot peanut or vegetable oil (365°F-375°F) and fry until golden. Remove to paper towels using a slotted spoon. When cool, place in a clean paper bag and shake with confectioners' sugar. Alternatively, drizzle with syrup or honey just before serving.

use a strong ziplock bag and pipe into the hot oil in a spiral and make sure you leave room for the batter to expand. when it's done use a colander or seive to spinle a generous helping of powdered sugar over these babies while they are still warm. Follow up with a drizzle of honey if your daring.

  3. First grab a beer, no point in dehydrating whilst you decide.

Have another look, and make a decision sweet or savoury.

    Make pancake batter.

    Think again, have another beer.

    Gravy or honey?

    Done.

    Kia ora from NZ.

  4. Homemade Chocolate or Vanilla Cream Pudding

    1 to 1 1/2 cup sugar

    1/4 cup cornstarch

1/2 cup cocoa (for chocolate pudding only)

    dash salt

    4 cups milk

    4 egg yolks, slightly beaten

    4 teaspoons vanilla

1/4 cup butter, softened (for vanilla pudding only)

Combine sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, and salt in 2-quart saucepan.

Combine milk and egg yolks, then gradually stir into the dry ingredients.

Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture comes to a boil. Continue to boil for one minute, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat, and stir in butter and vanilla. Pour pudding into four serving dishes, and chill.

    Servings: 8 - 1/2 cup

  5. Don't bother going shopping cook what you have - links below!!!!

    beer bread - beer, flour, sugar - - -

    cookies =  1 C peanut butter + 1 C sugar + 1 egg

    other cookies?

    OH

This is SO simple, kinda bland & takes time to prepare - though -

    Fregola- a type of pasta

    1) spread flour out on a cookie sheet, sprinkle water on it. Shake around to clump flour up.

    Repeat.

    2) Run what is left on the cookie sheet through a sieve. What you have left in the sieve is your fregola. Pour leftover flour back into cookie sheet & repeat.

    Bake until lightly golden brown.

Store in tightly sealed container. Cook as you would cous cous or pasta.

    * as seen on lydia's italy some time ago Yes I made it once

  6. You could make tortillas / roti / naan bread.  If you had eggs, you'd have more baking options.
