I;m in Indiana (zone 6, I believe) and I have just moved into a house with what used to be a garden in the yard. I want to plant some food in there after I get it cleaned out, but I don't know what will grow this late. Please help.

  1. cool season crops like lettuce, broccoli, radishes, cabbage. you could also plant garlic that will be ready next year.

  2. Great answer from duckfish. Yeah short season (fast growing) cool crops. I'll add to it with parsnips and swedes, both of which can be over wintered in the ground and harvested when you want them. Carrots also I think but would need more feedback on that.
