What can I put in my hornet/wasp trap to lure them in?

I would like to just take something from the fridge, but I don't want it to evaporate too fast, or go moldy.

Can I use a jelly? Honey?

I know they sell attractant at the stores, but that doesnt last that long either.

Hornets are attracted to meat also, so you might try bullion cubes. They're dry so the won't mold or spoil.

We used to just use honey or syrup. They like anything sweet.
