What can I put on my butcherblock countertop to protect it and make it shine?

A 6 dollar bottle of butchers block mineral oil(any regular mineral oil should be fine as well) works great. Just used it on an old table and looks and shines as if its brand new. You can repeat this process whenever your table starts to lose any luster. Just place some of the oil on a rag and buff the table.

lemon oil made by Pledge it moisturizes the wood and seals it and you buff it and it will give you a great shine and nice clean smell
