My friends are making me go to six flags with them for the last day of our summer, which happens to be tomorrow. Is there any kind of medication, pill, or drink that I can take that will make me alright? I've only been on a few fast rides at a fair before, and I felt pretty nauseous. I've never been on a roller coaster though. I just want to be okay on the rides! anything that will help? thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

  1. Go to wal-mart pharmacy and buy some motion sickness pills those worked for my younger cousin

  2. If you take dramamine you will be fine. It works fantastic for this.

  3. It's all a mind game. Just tell yourself it'll be okay, and it will be. Chances are you'll like roller coasters a lot more then fair rides which tend to be spinning rides that can make anyone sick! Maybe start on some of the smaller rides, and work your way up to the big stuff. Don't let your friends pressure you into riding something you don't want to, but I think you'll end up really liking roller coasters if you choose to try one out. If you're riding a ride and it gets to be too intense, you can always close your eyes and stabilize yourself the best you can. Good luck!

  4. Okay the best is to eat something way in advance at least 2 hours you don't' want to have much food in your system but you don't want to go on an empty stomach either

The best medicine to take would probably be dramamine (I've been told by many of my motion sickness friends)

Have your friends take you on the easy rides first so you get used to the adrenaline rust & then go on the bigger/faster/ones so you'll be less nervous and probably less nauseous.

  5. dont eat anything thats junk food or sugar and not too much water. any type of medication wont be good for ur body. a more natural remidie is to eat ginger or ginger candy or if u dont like the taste, tape a piece of ginger thats cut in a about 5mm slice on ur stomach, this wont work as well as eating it. my mama told me this and she noes alot about chinese natural medicine and i tried it and it really works. hope i helped :]

  6. You are probably not in a position to start experimenting with cures on the day you go.  But one that a lot of people swear by is Ginger root.  You can usually find these at most Drug Stores or Health Food Stores.  I would stay away from products such as Dramamine as in some people they tend to have a nasty side effect of making you tired.  But if you do take something you must do it in advance, as once the symptoms start any remedy won't do much good.

The other thing to do is mental.  Just tell yourself you are not going to get motion sick and for a lot of people this power of suggestion works.  The other thing to do is when you are on Roller Coasters try and keep your eyes fixed on a point that is stationary.  This way your body does not get mixed signals.

  7. carsick medicine!

  8. Part of it is mental, but I have a couple friends that take some Dramamine before they go into any theme park. The effects stay with them for most of the day too. Good Luck:)
