  1. teach her different shapes and colors with food. and even try a little bit of counting

you can do this with food

    toys

    anything

get a set of blocks that are square, rectangle, triangle, and circles

  2. With my 2 year olds, I turn on little einstein and put playdo and number lines in front of them while I work from home.

  3. Look up the Early Years Foundation Stage....

    http://www.standards.dfes.gov.uk/eyfs

It will show you what is the 'norm' for children and what educational settings would be doing with your child. It's great because it gives ideas on things to do based on age groups!

  4. Try rolling a ball back & forth with them. Once they get the hang of that you can start throwing it to them. They probably wont actually catch it at 1st, but it improves their motor skills.

  5. Singing nursery rhymes. Building towers and watching them fall down. Counting, drawing and most of all kids at this age love messy play and they learn so much from it, beleive it or not.

On a fine day i use to get out trays of paint and roll out huge lengths of old wallpaper and my young un use to get covered in paint and roll around the paper making body, hand and feet prints.
