Question:

What can I use 36" circular needles for?

I accidentally bought the wrong sized needles and do not know what use I could make of them.

  1. It depends on what size (diameter) the actual needles (the points you knit with) are.  36" is the length.  

    If they're the right size for 4 ply yarn, an afghan is a good choice.  If they're a smaller diameter more suited to a lighter weight yarn, how about a pretty lacy shawl or stole?

    This poncho uses US size 8 circs http://www.bernat.com/pattern.php?PID=23...  I've actually been drooling over that poncho for a few years, but I never get around to making anything for myself.
