Okay, this is really getting out of hand. The school year is starting and I have MAJOR insomnia. What can I use as a sleep aid? I stole my mom's sleeping pills and that didn't help one bit. I even tried taking 2 or 3 and I was still wide awake all night. Any tips? Thanks.

  1. Turn everything off.

Even go 24 hours with no sleep until the appropriate time to actualy sleep its what I make my boyfriend do! And it works

  2. Melatonin is good.  My 14 son has used it.  Try not thinking about school starting.  You've made it through the first day of school before.  Just take it one hour at a time if you have to.

  3. melatonin is natural and not addictive. Maybe you should try not thinking so much or trying too hard to fall asleep. Exersise can help make you tired

  4. Relaxation techniques can work wonders at night and throughout the day, its easy to learn and once you have learned them no more sleepless nights.

    They really do work

  5. melatonin, valerian root, 5htp, phenibut

  6. California Poppy

    Hops

    Kava kava

    Passionflower

    Skullcap

    Valerian Root

taken in capsule or extract form...it is best to rotate among several of these not just take one of them

  7. Tylenol PM or Advil PM works.  You could also try benadryl it all works and you don't need a perscription

  8. try hitting yourself in the head with a hammer. (just kidding).

Why not try tylenol pm, I've tried it & it works for me. I wouldn't mess

around with sleeping pills. You may find you're taking more & more

until you become dependent on them & one day you may not wake

up! Be really careful of that c**p.
