What can I use to edit out part of an mp3 song I don't want to hear?

I would like to edit some of the songs my 13-yr old has purchased to remove the explitives or replace them with a 'beep'.

I'm using WinXP w/Media Player 10 if it matters.

Any ideas/suggestions?

Taking the time to edit the tracks yourself might take a lot of time.  How about buying the censored versions of the songs?  It might be worth it.

buying editing software and the time it takes would be time consuming, you could buy the radio edit versions or make sure they have permission for a song before they download/
