I would like to edit some of the songs my 13-yr old has purchased to remove the explitives or replace them with a 'beep'.

I'm using WinXP w/Media Player 10 if it matters.

Any ideas/suggestions?

  1. Taking the time to edit the tracks yourself might take a lot of time.  How about buying the censored versions of the songs?  It might be worth it.

If you really want to edit the songs then a free software for editing audio that I like it Audacity.  It can be downloaded from their web site:

    http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

  2. buying editing software and the time it takes would be time consuming, you could buy the radio edit versions or make sure they have permission for a song before they download/
