  1. I believe that series has only a CD/DVD player on it. Use the S-video output to your Bravia. No major benefit using component cables since the video is not going to exceed 480. Adjust your Bravia wide setting to normal on your remote. This will play the DVD video in the center of your LCD at 4:3 ratio. It will automatically adjust wide again when it detects 720 or 1080 signals then go back to center for 480 video.

  2. I have heard of poor quality video issues when dealing with devices which use High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP).  See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDCP for some info on that.

Perhaps try a different DVD player hooked-up to your Sony TV.  You could also try different video cables, in case you have a bad one.

  3. we have new latest technology for better picture video quality when u hook up to your tv by using dvd player..get the latest one dvd w 1080p technology ..onecool today  n popular is the blu ray disc sony or PS3 dvd player..its excellent picture resolution ..ask one of associates specialist on tv att the store they know everything about it..and make sure if your tv sony about 720p res. or the highest 1080p the latest one that could be match your input resolution fr your dvd to your t.v.

  4. by a better video

  5. If you can't use HDMI, use component video cables. (Green, blue, red)
