  1. Spray with White King stain remover for colours available at woolies or coles leave for a little while and then wash as usual

  2. Hot wash and an enzyme powered detergent like Omo or Drive

throw in some napisan powder too

  3. Spray & Wash   You can find it in the grocery store, Walmart, Target etc.

  4. WD 40. Also works for tar on carpet, scuff marks, any grease.

  5. Eucalyptus oil is very good. A mechanic in the family uses it.

  6. a can of coca cola will work pretty good try that with dawn dish soap and scub

  7. pour a little baby powder on it and rub it in. Then take an old tooth brush or something and scrub it! The powder absorbs the grease! Works like a charm!

  8. I use Dawn dish liquid for all oily/greasy stains.

Works great, and every time. Just rub some on the grease and wash normally.

  10. In addition to all of the above great ideas, I make sure i use really hot water, because as grease heats up it becomes thinner and comes out alot easier, if my clothes are bad  i soak them in hot water and rub them around a couple of times before putting them in the machine, cos that much grease and oil gets stuck in your machine and ruins it. Generally using the hottest setting on your washing machine works, but it fades your clothes pretty quick using all those strong cleaning products and the hot water. I work in a mine and my clothes are CONSTANTALLY covered with grease and oil. If worse comes to worse, seriously, take it to a car wash and hit it with the high pressure hose with hot water, I wouldn't do it to good clothes but and it wreaks em after you do it a few times. You have a lucky man......I have to do my own washing!!!!!

  11. I am a trucker too, and a while ago I discovered that an orange-based hand cleaner, one of the one's thats designed to take grease off hands, (Gojo, etc) works on clothes too :).

I apply it and rub it in when I take the clothes off, and I let it sit in the laundry basket until I do laundry.

Wash in hot water, and it's taken most grease and motor fluid stains out for me, including a pair of jeans I had gotten diesel all over (nothing else worked to remove the smell until I used hand cleaner).  It's worth a shot if none of the other ideas work!

  12. Rubbing in shout before washing his clothes should get the grease out. I have seen people use Pine Sol in their work clothes laundry. It's listed on their website. http://www.pinesol.com/faq.shtml

Will Original Pine-Sol® Brand Cleaner help to clean greasy work clothes?

This product is very effective at removing grease and heavy soils from your laundry. Simply rub it full-strength on grease spots or heavily soiled areas before machine-washing. For extra deodorizing power, you also can add half a cup to the wash load. The product should be used only on white or colorfast fabrics; if you're not sure about a particular article of clothing, it's always a good idea to test the fabric in an inconspicuous area first.
