  1. french onion soup mix with plain yogurt

  2. Lo-fat plain yoghurt & lo-fat sour cream 50/50.

Add a dash of commercial mayo for preservatives if needed.

A squirt of lemon juice, a tsp of horse-radish, or mixed herbs.

  3. LOW FAT RAW VEGETABLE DIP

1/2 c. plain fat free yogurt

1 c. low fat Miracle Whip

1 pkg. Good Season Italian Dressing dry mix

    2 dashes cayenne pepper

    4 tsp. vinegar

    1/4 tsp. thyme

Mix all ingredients together, cover and refrigerate. Keeps for several days.

  4. Make some Hummus.  It's got olive oil in it, so it's a good for you fat.

  5. Lowfat cottage blended with lemon juice, chopped chives, dill weed, and minced garlic can provide you with the dip you might enjoy.  Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate for several hours to blend flavors.

You might also consider blending cooked white beans with sundried tomatos, roasted red peppers, lemon juice and fresh ground pepper.

Non fat cream cheese blended with powdered green onion and regular onion dips, along with nonfat sour cream.

    Hummus

  6. You can substitute plain yogurt for the sour cream in just about any recipe to get a very similar taste with much less fat and calories.  Makes great dips and sauces.
