  1. JoAnn Fabrics has some great tie dye kits which come with 3 colors of dye, rubber gloves, instructions, rubber bands, and soda ash.  (Many kinds of dye require soda ash in order to set the dye, and it can be a little hard to find outside of a kit.)  Right now their kits are on sale for $6.99 online.

  2. Duncan Crafts sells tie dye kits that are easy to use.

Here's some different tie dye project ideas: http://www.duncancrafts.com/SearchResult...

But you can also buy Rit dyes at the grocery store or craft store and use those on a 100 percent white cotton t-shirt.

  3. not really just go 2 the store n get these lil boxes of "dye" for clothes get small bowls n put the coloring  in each bowl wth water take rubber bands n tie them around the shirt about three rubber bands spaced out so it looks nice and dip the three different parts in each bowl . and  then hang it up to dry

  4. You just need a white t shirt

    2 different color dyes]]

and some strings to tie the t shirt at different sections

  5. You can go out and buy kits, I just saw a kit over at walmart the other day. So get that or something similar somewhere else and then just a plain white t-shirt shoud work.

take a sharpie and right whatever you want to, then pour rubbing alcohol on it and it gives it the tie die look/

  8. We used rubber bands, food coloring and vinegar... in 1980!

  9. a plain blank white t-shirt, tie-dye(find at arts n crafts store like micheals, my recommendation), rubber bands, bucket of water, newspaper and papertowels for the mess and thats about it, type in how to make a tie dye shirt in google

  10. Well instead of the tie-dye kits they have at any craft stores... you could always use stuff like different color kool-aid, or make your own, check the link below. You know what else is cool, if you try dying flowers with food coloring, sounds awesome and is awesome.

  11. Buy a kit , that will make it much easier ;)))

Use fiber reactive dye - it is the most permanent of all dye types. Unlike other dyes, it actually forms a covalent bond with the cellulose or protein molecule. Once the bond is formed, what you have is one molecule, as the dye molecule has become an actual part of the cellulose fiber molecule. No wonder you can safely wash a garment that has been dyed in bright fiber reactive colors with white clothing, a hundred times, without endangering the whites in the least - even if it is all different bright colors, or even solid black!
