im a new varsity player at womens basketball and we have to jog 10 laps.. at a HUGE court ( extremely tiring ). Our legs hurt after...

but what does jogging do to you ?

what about your legs ?

  1. The amount of jogging you are doing is mainly to warm up your muscles before practice.

    Jogging will improve your cardiovascular conditioning so you can play harder for a longer period of time.

    However, you need to run for at least 15 minutes to have any training effect.

    Running on a hard surface without good shoes can injure your legs and joints.
