What can Make a person unconscious?

I have to write a blog about what can make a person unconscious.

Besides anything that requires hitting someone and lots of alcohol. Are there any chemicals that are used?

What about sleeping pills?, and then why to many sleeping pills at once, kill?

And household items that can make someone unconscious?

Choke through neck, block the neck with the arm put ur elbow under chin and block the neck.it will make the person unconcious.
if somebody tried pls let me know how long can the person unconcious?
