  1. The term "nanotechnology" applies to man-made structures which are on the order of 10^-9 meters in size. What exactly it does depends on the material, the size, and the application... Most nanotech works by either chemical reaction to other substances, or by plasmon activity on the surface of the structure (which seems to be dictated by nanoparticle shape).

Some examples of (commercial) nanotech which is either in testing or on the market: magnetic bit encoding structures, which is basically rust, for hard drives; organic protien "tags" which help identify cancerous cells; catalytically active noble metal structures...maybe for use in cars, to convert CO to CO2; and others.

There are so many developments in so many areas it's very difficult to answer your question. Most universities have nanotech facilities, so if you're interested in research in your area you should look at your local school's engineering, physics, or biomed pages.

  2. nanotechnology is basically dealing with the organism, organelle,or the things having size of nanometre=10^-9 meter. its a great Field to do so many new things weather you talk about instrumentation, zoology, botany, cell bio, genetics and you know RDT(recombination DNA technology) is totally based on nanotechnology

  3. i know nanotechnology is for killing bacteria because  my aircon have it

  4. THIS IS ONE OF TECHNOLOGY ,AS AN ANT BEING SMALL DOES MANY WORKS  HERE THEY TRY TO MAKE COMPONENTS OR ANY DI VICES AS   SMALL AS POSSIBLE.

I THINK THIS ANSWER HELP YOU.
