  1. when i was 12 i helped put up hay

    on a farm

  2. i just turned 13 and my friends and i are trying to earn money to go on a trip.

so far we have just tried selling to our neighbors and "public" people, and it works well! we sold handmade cards, potholders and these really good peanut butter chocolate candies that we made. earned 50 dollars in one afternoon!

the peanut butter candies were a HUGE seller. we sold them for two for fifty cents. here's the recipe:

    Chocolate Peanut Butter Swirls

    1 tbsp. chocolate chips

    1 heaping tablespoon peanut butter

    1. Place half the chips in a double paper muffin cup and microwave on

HIGH for 1 minute. Stir, then repeat for 30 seconds, or until chips are

completely melted. Place the cups in the freezer for five minutes.

    2. Spoon the peanut butter on top of the chocolate, then sprinkle with the

remaining chips. Microwave on HIGH for another minute.

    3. Stir and swirl with a butter knife. Microwave until chips are completely

melted (about 30 seconds). Freeze overnight.

    Makes 1 DELICIOUS candy.

handmade stuff goes fast when you sell. try soap, baked goods, homegrown fruits or veggies, candles, artwork (if your a good artist), jewelry, cards, that kind of stuff.

another good way is an auction or raffle. my friends and i are planning to do an auction. if you do a raffle then charge around five bucks a ticket and get some gift cards and big-prize items for the prize drawings.

garage sale, yard sale, lemonade or baked good stand, maybe hot chocolate or apple cider stand in the winter, popsicles and homemade ice cream in the summer

recycle cans and bottles, i do that

or if you're skilled in dance, computer, math, whatever, give classes or tutor kids.

have a talent show, play, magic show or performance or something like that and charge a few bucks for the tickets.

    online surveys?

good luck, whatever you do!!! :)
