What can a 13 year old get a job?!?

hi i am 13 years old and i really need money to support my family we are having a little trouble with money right now and i need to no how i could make some extra money quick. if there is a job out there i could babysit and wash dishes and waitressing sorry i dont speak french..I am going to turn 14 in october.and i need money to buy school supplies..

Here's a great job for you - Dog walking - find out who has pets in your neighborhood and get on the computer and make a flyer that you would like to earn money walking dogs for 30-60 minutes a day put on the flyer that you need the money for school supplies and charge $5 for 30 min and $8 for an hour and you will make alot of money... maybe you should put flyer's up saying that your available to babysit with little pull tabs of your number, but i dont know how safe that would be depending on your area, im sure if you went around and looked for different things you could do for money you will have luck, rake lawns house work, mothers helper etc etc, good luck hun im sorry you need to find money and worry about those things at such a young age

post an add on craigslist.com, saying you will do house cleaning and baby sitting etc. make sure and include your age though!

My best option was lawn service, on your own of course, all you need is the typical lawn mower, after that babysitting is good.

get a job with a millionare/palmbeachfancyperson i make 50$ every other week for washing conditioning and blowdrying her lab and goldenretriever its hard tho since i hav my own dogs and skool work and im 1 year younger than u so u can find a good job go around and ask ur neighbors for walking their dogs its excersise and $!if u need the money quick find a job in ur neighborhood like doing stuff for ur neighbors

hi there , well let me start off by saying i am truly sorry about your situation.. it may seem like a 13 year old has a very slim chance of getting a job, but that actually isn't the case.  Im currently 14 and i actually coach private lessons, making 40 $ an hour. per kid.. if you are good at a certain thing, or sport, or activity, you can start a small coaching buisness, or give private lessons.  Try posting fliers about that.. If you don't find anything you would like to do, then always ask if anyone needs their kids to be babysitted.. i live near a pretty busy town, and there are a good amount of stores that are hiring kids our age.  You can work at the simple stores, such as an ice cream shop, or a photo store.. i hope i helped!

Depending on where you live, you should be able to get a job by doing some of the things you listed above.  You can place an ad on Craigslist for free.  Just be sure you have an adult take you the first time you go to someone else's house because you never know who will answer the ad and if they are being honest on email or the phone.  So be safe!

Also, when you place your add, make sure you capitalize your "i" and spell words correctly so you look like you know what you are doing.  You ad could look something like this:

Responsible 13 year old is available to babysit in your home this summer and after school and weekends starting this fall.  $15 an hour with an additional $5 per hour per child.  

or

Organized 13 year old available to help with general housekeeping and companionship.  Email for more information.

you could cut grass, pet sit, wash cars or dogs, maybe sell some old stuff on ebay, or house sit. just ask around to see if your neighbors will pay you to do favors for them. hope this helps Emily :)

sell some of ur old games, and u can't get a job when ur 13 u got to be at least 16 years old. i am 15 years old and i was hoping to a get a job to at a grocery store and they wouldn't let me. So what i did was my dad gives me 1$ for lunch so i can eat from school, what i did was not eat at school and saved the money i saved up to 36$ at 4 weeks. So just try to get some money as hard as u can and don't be lazy try everything selling, mow the lawn, and such on. Good luck.
