  1. Easy answer 'LOTS' Look at this web site.

http://www.ozenergy.net look for the HOW TO HELP page there is some really good things that you can do and share with your school mates. You have already done something by asking what you can do, no tell your friends they should all do the same. Well done.

    http://www.ozenergy.net

  2. Here is a list of websites that give tons of info on a wide range of topics that can greatly help us (Many simple solutions that save us money-and that save our world as well). Within many of these links is several other topics and website addresses linking to even more info. This list will help us to create a better future for us all so be sure to spread these web addresses plus anymore you may have to as many people as possible (Getting those people to spread the word and so on..."After all, we should strive for a better world to hand down to future generations"):

    http://42explore.com/recycle.htm

http://www.coolpeoplecare.org/article/20... (Click on "Inch of rain" for picture info)

http://www.iphe.org.uk/ (Click on Environment for great info)

    http://www.kcc.state.ks.us/pi/simple_tip...

    http://www.answers.com/topic/insulation

    http://www.pcrf.org/tensimple.html

    http://www.watersavingtips.org/

    http://www.wateruseitwisely.com/

    http://www.bnl.gov/rideshare/reduction.a...

I would also recommend making a website with lots of inspirational info where people can put addresses into it that all link to environmental info that most people can use (example: The first address in this site being http://www.42explore.com/recycle.htm... and the second being http://coolpeoplecare.org/article/2006/0... then http://www.iphe.org.uk/ "plus others that were listed" and/or any others you, friends, etc may want to put in the site).

Also, to send this environmental website address to as many people as possible to spread the word and get even more web addresses for more info.

As time goes on, just by simply accessing this website, it will likely prove to be an easy access for people around the world to get the info they need plus much more which will greatly help not only a few people but the world its' self (After all, the net can easily spread info around the globe).

I would start by getting friends, co-workers (Or whatever the case may be) together with enough knowledge to make this website a reality, and when it is set up to have your friends, etc spread the word so that others may also spread the word and so on.

I believe that this site will become more popular as time goes on, after all with easy access to a treasure trove of info like this which can greatly enrich our lives, the planet and even save money, odds are that this will be a HUGE success and will eventually end up changing the world in which we live. Who knows, maybe someday there will be one or more companies which will help to manage this site and add to its popularity by advertising, etc.

Also, if businesses could have even some solar panels it would help in reducing energy needs as well as placing solar panels in open unused areas (Wind turbines as well). There are also several areas on the globe such as deserts (In areas where they would not get damaged), and so on where tons of solar pannels can be placed and several areas with high winds for wind turbines.

Another idea would be to set up this site on your "yahoo 360 my page" and start your own eco group from your 360 page which is what I am doing in order to spread the word, open peoples minds to many possibilities and show others how we can all do our part (Many easy ways that cost little to no money that save lots in the long run!!)

Best of luck to us all, as we hope and work toward a greener and brighter future for ours, and all future generations to come so that we can all live in a world of seemingly infinite diversity, understanding, awe, and wonder!!

Spread the info to as many people as possible and get those people to spread it and so on, and I believe that this strategy will be a huge success, and may we all create a solid foundation for future generations to build upon!!

  5. an easy 1 word answer is:

    RECYCLE

that's the best I can do.

  6. to help others you must first help yourself as the old saying goes. begin by making a list of things you and your family can do to help the enviroment such as not wasting electricity, cutting down on fuel emmisions, recycling, planting trees, buying recycled products, etc. make a list of ways you can help and do them. the next step is to pursway others do follow your lead such as friends, family, neighbors, etc. so them how they can help too and them give them reasons why their contributions can help the world no matter how small a change. it may not seem like much now but remember: the largest oak came from the smallest seed:) its refreshing to hear that other young adults care about the enviroment and nature. it will also help to research the facts and the myths and find out as much info as you can about the subject. not only does this help the earth it looks good on a college application too. also you could look into joining or forming a type of club to go along with your new hobby of taking care of the earth.

  7. sign some petitions

  8. take the bus to school more often, walk or bike to places that are reachable without a car, start something at your school, a movement of sorts, and try and bring to light the global warming crisis that people are always asking the same thing you do and if you give them answers, it will change what they do, and may eventually spread.

  9. what i do is just do as much enviormental work as u can i mean even though it seems like your changing nothing at all . just that 1 little piece of work u did could of saved the earth from its last day of being a planet.!!

  10. Volunteering is a great thing to do!  You may not bring about world peace or solve the global hunger problem, but you can absolutely have an impact in your community -- I'm sure you've heard the saying, "think globally, act locally."

There are lots of things you can do, depending on your interests.  Help out at an animal shelter, a homeless shelter, a soup kitchen, a retirement community, a local environmental group, a suicide or domestic violence hotline, etc.

I know how you can feel powerless sometimes, but you are absolutely able to make a difference.  Good for you for asking this question.  Best of luck!

  11. Best is to equip oneself with required technical skills by applying to one's studies diligently.

After that, 'the world is your oyster'.

  12. An important part of conservation is to recycle.

My suggestion is that you set up a box in school where students can recycle ink cartridges, cell phones, eyeglasses, etc

Every little bit helps and you would get more people involved this way...

  13. Start a fund drive for solar panels for your school.  That's something really concrete and lasting.

  14. Educate your self and others. Start a up a group in your school, church or community. You are awesome to care and to have the initiative. I applaud you!

  15. All I can say is start by making a difference in your life, then start making a difference in other people's life.  When I say "making a difference in your life," I mean make changes that will help you be a better person for those your are trying to help.  One person at a time.

  16. Well the best thing you can do is be a good example for others.  Write to your government about making as many environmental friendly changes as possible.  Get your school, church group, or sports organization to spread the word and make changes there.  Plant trees and grow house plants that will take in CO2 and release O2.  This is a start for you but I am sorry to say no one person can change the world.  Just be an example for your siblings and your peers that is one way to start.

Good for you for wanting to change the world at such a young age.

  17. Start good habits relating to your environment now. It takes 21 days to make or break a habit.

I am an old hippie, so back in the day, way back in the dark ages of the late 60's early 70's, our President had us in a War that didn't make any sense, and a complete disregard for the environment that caused our Sky's to be black and our water unusable.

The hippies stood up for truth, love, peace and loving the planet that we are on.

We were banned with titles like "Tree Huggers" etc. But, we prevailed.

Americans were tired of all the 19 year olds dying for nothing, and were tired of no social care, and tired of large industries making millions of dollars, while destroying the planet with toxic dumping and landfills without liners.

So,.... to finally answer your question,

Be responsible on what you consume: [what you buy].

Try to purchase products that can be reused or recycled.

When you buy snacks, try to get as close to the real food.

When you walk by and see trash on the ground, bend over and pick it up, dispose of it.

    Recycle.

Don't run water that is not being used for a distinct purpose.

Keep the thermostat on 78 degrees in the summer, 72 in the winter.

Water the lawn early in the morning.

Keep reading what other members do to conserve.

    Good Luck & Blessings

  18. OMG, ur exactly like me.  I'm a vegetarian, so you can start by not eating meat.  That's a way to help the animals.  Don't create sky pollution.  Sky pollution is caused by light.  Don't shine flashlights into the night sky.  Oh, and don't use a whole lot of electricity.  Hope I've helped out!

  19. Just be who you are and stop thinking that you carry all this worlds mess on yor shoulders.Just keep on doing what you are doing because I know you are on the right track.Be a boy first before adulthood gives you responsibilities.

  20. you know 15 year old boy, you can help save the world by wiping off the toilet seat when your done.  Also touch the potty cause the odor from your wastes helps take away gas pollution and harmful bacteria out of the air. These have been proven biologist in the 21st century.

ps:  wiping after #2 can cause a harmful rash and pollution in our ecosystem.

  21. First go to school and learn how to spell "please"!

Just kiddin', theres really limited ways ANY indivisual can do to make the world a better place. But you can set a good example for other people.

  22. Anyone who would ask that question has already done something to make the world a better place. You were born :)

  23. I've got the same problem..i want to do something, but don't know what! I just started picking up trash around the beach and take a walk through the woods and pick up c**p.

  25. It is said that ocean is made of drops and you are one of the drops. It is good that you have thought of such pious work at this young age. No matter. You can start thinking and planning of the contribution you can make to the society for making the world a better place. Try to help reduce the fumes in the air, the heat around you etc, by indulging in bicycling, wearing cotton, planting trees and shrubs around your habitat. Such little things will go a big way in the long run. Teach the same operations to you siblings and friends, people around you.

  26. Here's what you can do to help the environment:

If you are a child, here are some things you can do:

Save energy by turning off the light when you leave your room.

Save trees, which are used to make paper, by using a lunch pail, rather than a paper bag each day.

Pick up litter that you see in your neighborhood and recycle whatever can be recycled - aluminum cans, glass, paper, cardboard, plastic things.

Ride your bike or walk, when you can, rather than ride in a car.

Turn off the water while you are brushing your teeth.

Use less water in your bath or shower.

Use both sides of a piece of paper when drawing, coloring or writing.

Here are some things your family can do together:

Use paper shopping bags, rather than plastic, and reuse them at the market. Keep a supply in your car, so you have them with you when you stop at the store.

Pay attention to the packaging of the products you buy and buy things that come in containers that can be recycled or reused.

When possible, bring fruits and vegetables home unwrapped, rather than in plastic bags.

Recycle aluminum, glass, newspapers, cardboard and plastic containers.

Use water-saving devices on toilets, shower heads and faucets.

Carpool whenever possible. When you can, walk, ride a bike, or use public transportation.

    Plant trees in your yard.

Diaper babies in cloth diapers, which can be used again and again.

In the winter, keep your thermostat lower and wear a sweater. In the summer, be a little warmer than you are used to. Let the air conditioner rest, and let your body use its thermostat.

  27. There are lots of things that you can do to help.Take a corner of  where you live  such as the street you live in and  keep it free of litter so that birds  cant  get entangled in paper .Major killer of birds is people throwing litter on to the road and  birds and other wildlife  peck at  food  and as result they get killed. You can make a difference. At home you can help with recycling and encouraging your parents to buy food that does not have so much packaging.Really there are heaps of things  you can do and I would be here all night offering you possibilties. There are stacks of stuff that you can do.
