What can a kid do for the environment?

I want to help save the environment, but I don't know what a kid could do. Please help me!

I am a kid too and I know it's hard to help especaily when you don't have much privilage. So I recylcle, go online to find places that helps recycle, and  my favorite, PLANTING!! :]

you can recycle all your plastics and paper

turn off your computer when you arent using it

turn the light switch when you leave the room

walk or use your bike instead of asking for a ride

avoid using most styrafoam, its bad for the enviornment

remember 5R's principle:

refuse : do not use polyethylene bags . Instead use jute bags.

reduce : switch off lights and you save a lot of precious coal resources.

reuse : reuse your pen again and again. do not buy a new pen every time but buy its refil and you can decrease the production of new pens  which would save natural resources.

recycle : collect and sent your newspaper  for recycling.

repair: get your old furniture repaired to make new things instead of buying new one.This way you save a lot of trees.

you can write letters to the editors of the newspaper to make our present generation aware of their environment.

grow more trees.

First you have to understand that you really cant do much.  Large industry uses much more natural resources than the private sector. Even if you change your light bulbs, get a more efficient car it really wont have much impact, if you believe in that.  A large commercial airplane uses as much fuel in one trip than a singe car will use in about a half a year.  Plus you must understand global warming has been very over exaggerated.  There really hasnt been that much climate change. It has been over hyped by far left,  anti-industrial organizations.

Probably the most single impact you can have that for certain will benefit the environment is to avoid becoming a parent.

The fact that you are a kid DOES NOT mean that you are insignificant; don't underestimate yourself. If you really care, seek help, research, and maybe even become an environmentalist. Learn about your sources of energy, how the energy is generated, and how they are being depleted.

Little things make up big things, which contribute to saving the environment.

I asked that question too and you know kids can do alot pick up all the trash outside and turn it in for money thats what I did add me if you want!

RECYCLE.....    everything

paper plastic glass- recycling bin.

food products- use as leftovers or compost( read up on compost to figure what can go in and what can't.)

the rest sadly has to go in the trash. :(
