What can a loner dying man do ? (Strange situation : please advise)?

A man is dying of some illness and hes a complete loner. He only has one relative in a distant country but he cant tell him yet that hes dying because he doesnt know when it might happen .He has no one else . When he dies , its important that someone cremates him and informs his one relative .How can a person arrange that ?Any system in place for that ?

Leave a will.

if he leaves a will it sees that his wishes be carried out the way he wants it.
