What can a thief actually do with your personal info? SSN, ADD, ETC...?

Im curious to know with all the security going on with identity theft what can a thif really do with your personal info such as SSN, Addd, credit info. What do i have to look out for. what am i at risk of?

Get an ID and travel under your name to commit crimes, even terrorism.

He can also open a credit account or get a credit card in your name, run it up and not pay.

Who do you think they will come after?

hi im new to this and this is my first post and its not even an answer its an addition to the question} wouldn't the thief need the same addres to have the credit card mailed to? i mean does the credit card comapany just mail out credit cards to any address without question?
