  1. Depends largely on the individual, but most autistic children are very intelligent, they simply can't interact with others in the same way we do. They are in a different world, so to speak, yet can be even genius level in some things.

  2. An autistic child can do everything tha a normal child can do. They just have to fnd their own way of doing it.

  3. some have SUPER memories or can play classical musical peices by ear after hearing it one time. It depends on what thier "gifts" are. My son has a great memory. He also sees things very quickly. I hate this comparision but like in rain man when the toothpicks fell dustin hoffman said how many automatically he knew and he was correct... there was no doubt.

  4. "Autism is a brain development disorder characterized by impairments in social interaction and communication, and restricted and repetitive behavior, all exhibited before a child is three years old."

  5. Some have a very hard time speaking around others or to others. Some have issues with making eye contact. Other have issues of they dont understand the social aspects of life nad have a hard time making and keeping friends. Its different for every child as no 2 kiddos on the spectrum are the same.
