  1. LOL, repower it with a Ford motor

  2. the only other thing I would think to change out other then what has been mentioned would be to change out the fuel filter and accessory belts. you do that and it's pretty much a complete tune up. I also believe that the 90 De ville still had a distributor on it, so you would also want to change out the Cap and Rotor.

  3. Change the oil, change the oil filter, change the air filter, change the spark plugs.

That is 90% of a tune up right there.

Get a Haynes or Chilton manual to figure out some more basics, like how to check your belts.

If it is Fuel injected, go and buy a can of B&G 44K. this is injector cleaner. fill the gas tank, add the 44k.

Also, find an internet forum for caddys and get an account. You will find lots of detail and resources from people who have the exact same car, with the exact same problems.

  4. i think caddilacs are designed to fail at all systems after awhile...it keeps outdated ones off the street wich bring down the company image. if you fix one thing, two more will go bad. it's either the dealership for service or the junkyard. sell that sucker while it still moves! most caddies are leased for a reason
