  1. i think you would have to stop groupies doing what they do and increase traditional family type values in the ghettos.

you grow up with single mums on welfare with multiple donors and girls trading head for crack and later on women are throwing themselves at you because you have money and success, well you can understand the attitude of some of these guys.

  2. People should protest, picket, and not purchase any recording of rappers that support, practice, or exhibit misogynistic behavior.

  3. Don't buy the music that promotes misogyny. The reason it keeps being produced is because it sells.

  4. Do not buy records with such content and raise awarness to reduce demand for that kind of records.

  5. if only there were some moral police doing a count down of the worst misogynist songs and giving them a razzie equivalent-maybe just maybe it would shame them a bit

  6. I don't think theres anything that can be done. Misogyny is a general problem in society and to stop it would require a complete change in the way we perceive gender roles and powerbalance. misogynistic imagery sells among the youth and the demand is high therefore the record companies are continusly going to find rappers with sick enough thoughts for a record deal.

Finally start supporting the real raw Hip Hop not that popcorn-get-rich-quick-nursery-rhyme-bs on BET and MTV - theres nothing Hip Hop about strippers in a club scene.

  7. The misogyny in hip-hop is backlash against the politically correct society that infuriates people.

  8. Get more good female hip-hop artists into the industry. It might not stop misogyny in people, but it would help the industry get over their hatred.

  9. Reduce misogyny in the world.  Hip Hop is very much an honest reflection of its community.  You cant censor an honest expression and have it retain its value.

Unfortunately, misogyny is rampant within that lifestyle and has been cultured into it for almost a decade and a half now.  You can personally choose to support hip hop that is female positive by buying cds, attending shows, ect of groups that you feel represent your values.  If enough people do that, then hip hop will turn to a less objectified art form in time.
