The summary needs to be from the current English version. And I (a 12 year old) must be able to understand it. Please give it in A.S.A.P

  1. Gee, the lyrics are so simple and it's easy to figure out the meaning. Please take the advice of the others who have answered and try not to take the easy way out.

  2. The Maori version is awesome- not so keen on the English part of it.

  3. ??Wabby? has given you the words which you could have got for yourself by Googling.

The words were written by NZ poet Thomas Bracken and the music was set to the words a hundred years ago by a man living in Lawrence whose name I can't recall.

But, between us,  we've given you enough information to search it thoroughly for yourself.

Your homework is YOUR homework, don't expect miracles on the Internet. It's a good way to get wrong answers.

  4. Please do your own homework A.S.A.P.

This is the first part in English. What do you make of it?

God of Nations at Thy feet,

In the bonds of love we meet,

    Hear our voices, we entreat,

    God defend our free land.

    Guard Pacific's triple star

From the shafts of strife and war,

    Make her praises heard afar,

    God defend New Zealand.

If you're really lazy (which it looks like you are) then why don't you just google it, i'm sure you'll find your answer.
