I have an older mother who lives in a apartment that used to be very nice. However, complex has allowed several people with felony's and gang affiliation to move into the complex. My mother is a Christian woman and she doesn't bother anyone. There have been instances where people have been beated and robbed at gunpoint. The gangs and thugs target people who don't bother others and stay to themselves.

We have called the police several times and asked for help from the apartment manager. However, they are just concerned about money and they won't do anything to help ensure the safety of their residents. Just recently today my mother was coming from the grocery store in her car and a woman who knows the thugs was blocking the entrance of the gate. My mother waited behind the woman for 5 minutes and the woman didn't move. So my mother blew her horn once and wasn't nasty about it. The woman moved her car but then she notified all of her thugs she knew and was talking about my mother. My mother ignored them and walked in the house, but there were several of them looking her way and talking about her. I am scared for my mother and don't want her to be a target. I do believe in the right to bear-arms for reasons like this.

Who can be contacted about this horrible property if the police are even exhausted from coming over here? The police can only do soo much. The complex manager and owner have to step up too. We have contacted the corporate office and they will do nothing. My mother is moving once her lease is up but doesn't want to break it. What can be done??

  1. Document as many incidents as you can, get copies of any police reports that have been filed at the complex, and forward them to the owners.  Inform them the reason you are doing this, is to put them on notice, that they are aware of potential problems.  Thus they become civilly and criminally responsible for future crimes if they fail to take action to prevent this.

    Security cameras are very inexpensive.

  2. My answer maybe weird for some but I advice to be patient and return the bad with good.

PS: please be patient, how  I know it's hard EXCEPT for those who are aware.

    Peace brother man
