  1. Cover marking(s) with several layers of paper towel.

Apply warm (not hot) iron for 30 seconds.  Repeat until all the crayon is on paper towels.

  2. Stop.

Use Goo-Gone on a clean cloth and pad it off.  Follow up with furniture polish, anything but Pledge.

Putting a hot iron on is going to damage the finish.  Best case is you'll get white marks, worst case is you'll melt the finish and end up embedding the towel and towel texture into it.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is a light abrasive.  While this _might_ not damage your finish, it is not necessary to resort to this.  Use a solvent, not abrasion.

  3. WD-40 will remove it, but I am not sure if it will hurt you table finish.

Spray a small amount on a hidden surface to see.

To remove crayon stain spray and let sit 3-4 minutes and wipe clean.

  4. First try dish detergent if that does not work use Minerial Spirts. It is safe to remove the crayon and It will not harn the finish on the table. Lighter fluid or charcoal lighter is minerial spirits.

  5. Try a white cloth and your ironlike you were removing candle wax.

  6. Try eye make up remover, it works on getting crayon off the walls and if it doesn't irritate the eyes, it should not hurt your table.

    gram

  7. I would try a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.  It has taken crayon off of many things in my home.

  8. I think Mr. Clean erasers are the best thing ever invented.  Give it a whirl.
