She and I are the only two in his will. He has a mortgage and three times the amount needed to pay it off. She has taken all but a few thousand dollars out of his bank accounts. At the time of his passing, there won't be anything near the 90,000-100,000 dollars to divide. She has put the money in some other account(s) when it was my intention to pay the mortgage off with that money at whatever time he does pass away. He really wanted to keep his house of forty years in his family.

  1. You definately need a lawyer.

And you may have to (gulp) press charges against your sister.

  2. If he signed power of attorney to her, you're out of luck. Have you seen that document though?

  3. This is really sad.  Is her Dad aware of what's going on at all?  You need to contact an attorney ASAP.  I'm sorry :-(
