I realize one can give negative feedback. The WIN resulted in $3100.00 for the car and $1100.00 for shipping. I have purchased several cars on ebay and they were as described or better. However this one was not. I would not have bought the car at any price had the description been accurate.

  1. Well, you can never trust the descripition..just like you can never trust a sales man..you either have to take a good look at the pictures, or go by and see the car..we got lucky we bought a car and got it for a good price when it was sold as is

  2. As a customer of paypal, you being the winning bidder / buyer, you should be covered by I think $250.00.  I know that is not anywhere near what you paid... BUT go ahead and file a complaint through paypal.  PP will then notify the seller, and the seller can offer something to do to get to the bottom of it.  I think either one of you can escate the process up to a claim.  Oh and yes, during this process, PP will take the amount of money you paid this person, and freeze it.  So, you have the bad merchandise, and the buyer does not have your money.  Paypal then will do some sort of investigation, and possibly ask questions back and forth.

If I were you, once you get it going, I would call PP on the phone, and verbally tell them of what has happened, and just tell them you wanted to make sure you were doing the right thing during this process.

I have noticed that PP tends to favor the buyers.  However, in your process of this... PP may tell you that you will have to ship this item back on your own expense.

Good Luck with this.  I know bad transactions are so stressful!

  3. I had the same horrible experience with the only car I ever bought on ebay, and never again!  I am stuck with the most worthless car you have ever seen.  I've spent about a grand on it & it still doesn't run well, and the A/C doesn't work!  I live in the South & it's in the 90s!!!   I couldn't get ebay/Paypal to do a thing about it! I hope you have better luck than I did!

  4. I don't think you can do anything. You are supposed to view the item before you purchase it. Paypal only covers items that didn't arrive.

I live in south australia and "won" a car from queensland. It cost me $2000. When it arrived it was full of rust and filthy and even had used syringes and rubbish in it.

It sucks doesn't it. I'll never do that again.
