I plan on buying a Canon Powershot A470 and I read that it has a memory chip.

What can be done with a memory chip? This probably sounds really stupid since digital cameras are really popular nowadays, but I'm a bit lacking in this area, and just curious.

Thanks.

  1. You can take the memory chip out and put it into other stuff.

Here, you go to a kiosk, chuck your chip in and it'll print your digital photos out.

Also it will hold extra photos. If you have two chips, you can store some photos on one........if you run out of space, put the new chip in and take photos on that.

Without the chip in the camera......some cameras will take very few photos (under 10)

    Is that what you mean?
