What can be done with an employer that owes back pay checks of 18 weeks

Employer has written 18 paychecks to me and wants to wait to pay until they sell business. Are these checks good and what do I do if she files bankrupcy?

I'd refuse to accept them that way. Talk to the National Labor Relations Baord locally.
