You can make a veggie pie.

Make a dough with 2-3 cups of flour and a couple of eggs. Add a little cold water to knead it. Roll it out to about 1 cm thick and line a pie dish with it. Bake blind for about 10-15 minutes on high heat till about half cooked. Put aside

Chop up your turnips/carrots/potatoes into bite size chunks and boil/steam (separately) with salt and pepper till tender. Also steam your corn if its not already cooked. Mix and put aside in a bowl.

In a heavy base saucepan melt a few tablespoons butter and add 2 tablespoons flour stirring to make a smooth paste (low heat). Add 2-3 cups milk and stir/cook till thick. Add salt and pepper and nutmeg powder to taste.

Put your cooked veggies in your pie shell. top up with white sauce. Use remaining dough to cover the top of your pie. Make a few slashes in the top crust to let steam escape.

Bake for about 20 minutes until top is golden.
