There is not going to be enough fossil fuel for the human to burn soon. Is there new type of resources that we can use for us to use. Please include evidence and details information. This is for a project. Thank you!!!!

  1. There is an alternative out there right now that's a lot cheaper and more efficient than gasoline, most people just aren't aware of it. Let me tell you my story.

A couple years ago I spotted an electric car for sale on eBay. On a whim, I bought it - it only cost me $2000. It took another couple thousand to fix up the rust and replace the batteries (it's quite old, from 1981.)

But now I drive it to and from work every day. It gets about 4 miles to the kilowatt-hour, and there is a special off-peak electric rate available here for charging (overnight) of only 3 cents per KWH. So that's less than ONE PENNY per mile!

It does freeway speeds, and looks and handles like a normal car. The battery pack is good for 20,000 miles, and costs $800 to replace, so that's another 4 cents per mile. Total cost of driving, 5 cents per mile - way cheaper than gas.

Why is electricity so much cheaper than gas? Because electric cars are several times more efficient than gas vehicles. This also means that more miles can be driven on less fuel (and less pollution per mile is created.)

And there's almost no maintenance! The electric motor has only one moving part - there's no oil changes, no filters, timing belts, spark plugs, coolant, none of that stuff. My motor still has all the original parts from 1981 - it has never needed service!

I made a webpage - a picture of my car is at the top. Here's some info on how to find inexpensive electric cars:

  2. We can use water and wind to make energy. Wind power and water are renewable energy sources and are highly productive.    The only problems is finding where to put the wind turbines- where the noise will not affect people and where there is enough wind.  Another downside is that birds and bats may be killed if they fly into the turbines- and cause damage.

The Hoover dam (like the other post said) is a very good example of how energy can be made in very effective ways without such severe consequences.

For automobiles, the use of hybrid or biofuel cars are very good options.  Even though the making of ethanol (the main component of biofuel) is relatively expensive, prices may get cheaper in the next few years.

  3. people can go independent in thier homes using hydroelectricity, solar power, and in the right area, wind power. Automobiles are very much more difficult due to storage and refueling problems.

  4. I live along the shore and we are looking into wind and tide power generation.

  5. Nuclear power, solar power, wind power, and water power.
