What can be said of waitressing?

Im a waitress at olive garden...those who have done it? those who eat at olive garden??? i need opinions about this.

I waited tables after through high school and after for about seven years. When you first start out at a new place or if this is the first time you have waited tables the tips are not going to be as good. Once you have worked there for about 3 months you start to get good and your tips will improve. Just give it a little time. Waiting tables for me was a great job, and a way to make life long friends.

Not really sure what kind of feed backs you are really looking for here? I mean opinions as a customers to a waitress who works at waitress? I been to Olive Garden and thought the services was always just a OKAY. I mean, don't feel they are really friend or attentive AT ALL, just okay, like robots. They only do what customers requested and routinely stop by to ask "is everything okay?" kind of services. This experiences is from at least 4 different Olive Gardens here in my county. So now I hardly go there....I do like their food, the food is above average.

I eat at  so many restaurant's that its not fair to judge one employee. I'm not sure by your question if you are asking about service, food, or about your workload, perhaps the tips you receive.

I will only answer for myself which is basically, the food was always fair to good, service was also good, it was always clean, waitress service was pleasant to deal with, the price was fair to the high side. Drinks were expensive, but done well (mixed drinks). I would never hesitate about going back for dinner or lunch.

Now for tips, we or just myself always tip 20 25 percent because I really like the place.

I always leave a good tip! But seriously - do you dislike the job? I did waitress for a while but not at Olive Garden. I made pretty good money but the bottom line is..well....I don't work there anymore! Was NOT for me.
