I have a blister in between my toes, its not really a blister, its basically a patch of skin which has been worn away with flesh exposed and its continuously bleeding and weeping, it just wont heal.

What can i put there to aid its healing?

  1. Could you possibly have athlete's foot? It's common if you walk barefoot a lot in public place, or if someone you live with has it.

A good thing to do is clean the area well, make sure it is dry and apply some tea-tree essential oil directly on... warning it will burn like nothing on this earth when you put it on, but I have seen lots of open sores on the feet heal up very nicely with a little bit of tea-tree applied, it should improve within 2 - 3 days. Apply a few drops in the morning and before bed (don't sleep with socks on give the feet a chance to have fresh air).

TCP (i think that is an anti-septic), it should work, but it will also burn when you put it on. I have never used that on any of my clients feet, so give it a try and let us know.

Otherwise tea-tree is the way to go

  2. Keep it clean, and keep it dry except for when you bath it in a saline (salt) solution (fill a bowl with water and add a cup/mug of salt). Then dry with thouroughly (dab with a clean tissue) and then put your foot up for as long as you can with a cotton wool pad to hold your toes apart (not directly over the wound)

Avoid creams and potions like TCP ectera and let nature take its course. If it becomes discoloured or weepy then it may have become infected and you'll need a course of antibiotics.

Wear sandles for a while and try not to do anything that will agrovate it.

  3. Wash & dry it and apply Lamisil cream,Daktarin cream,or Canesten cream .

Do this 2x daily for at least a week.

Keep a separate wash cloth and towel for this area as it might spread to other parts of your body.

    It's a fungal infection.
