What can be used to get rid of spiders?

Question

I'm tired of always having to check the bbq to see if there are spiders in or under the cover...i want to get rid of them from around my bbq, but i don't know how or what to use? i don't want to use really harmful chemicals cuz i have 2 dogs that go outside all the time.
