What can cars run off of?! need answers fast!!!?

ok so long story why i need to know but... what are all the things BESIDES gasoline that cars can run off of?! thanks!

  5. Well that I know of , moonshine, (corn whiskey) , alcohol, kerosene, ethenol if it is a "gas" engine.  A diesel may run on bio diesel or maybe waste oil.

  6. i have heard of some vehicles (cars, tractors etc) in australia that have run on used cooking oil such as from fish and chip shops.   water i would think would be out, particularly if you had to buy the water as opposed to tap water because in actual fact to buy water cost more than gasoline, quantity wise, even in this day and age.  hence i drink tap water.   interesting question i look forward to other answers, might make some enterprising think about it.
