What can cause a 13 year old liner on an above ground pool to come out?

The owner is blaming me and my 2 younger sisters for it and want us to help pay to get it fixed.

Baby_Girl when the life of above ground pool liner is about 10 years.  I would say it was old age.  Yes you can buy pool liner with 20 year warranty,  but that is a prorated warranty replacement cost. It is like returning car battery with 5 year warranty that went bad after 4 years and 6 months,  you will get practically nothing.  My liner lasted about 8 years I was pleased with that.  See weblink below.  Do Google search for Average life of vinly pool liner above ground pool.

13 years its had a good run it was bound to happen after the sun hitting it and pool chemicals its going to fall apart ours is 8years after this year we are getting rid or our above ground and getting a inground one :)

It's thirteen years old. Although it has had a good long life. :-/
